How do I bulk upload product listings?Updated 5 months ago

For Shopify or Etsy sellers:

We have a few options available if you would like to do a bulk import of your products.

Please follow these step-by-step guides to export CSV files from your Shopify or Etsy store:

1. Export from Shopify: Guide

2. Export from Etsy: Guide

Once you have the file, you can send it to [email protected] for upload.

Other platforms:

If you are coming from a different platform and have familiarity working with spreadsheets, you can modify the below template to do a bulk import.

If you need help identifying which fields need to be filled out, see the below:

Simplified Guide to Vendor Product CSV Format

This guide will help you create your own CSV file for importing products into our store. Here's a breakdown of each field you need to fill:

  1. Unique ID: Each product gets a unique numeric ID. If the product has variants, they all share the same ID but are listed on separate lines.
  2. Title: The product's name (e.g., Leather Bag). This is required.
  3. Description: A brief HTML description of the product, without formatting.
  4. Type: The category of the product (e.g., shirts). This is required.
  5. Tags: Keywords associated with your product, making it easier to search. For multiple tags, separate them with commas (e.g., tag1,tag2,tag3).
  6. Option Name1: First product option name (e.g., Size). Required. For products without variants, use "Title".
  7. Option Value1: Value for the first option (e.g., Large). Required. For products without variants, use "Default Title".
  8. Option Name2: Second product option name (e.g., Color). Optional.
  9. Option Value2: Value for the second option (e.g., Blue). Optional.
  10. Option Name3: Third product option name. Optional.
  11. Option Value3: Value for the third option. Optional.
  12. Variant SKU: The stock-keeping unit used for tracking inventory.
  13. Variant Grams: Weight of the variant in grams (just the number, no unit).
  14. Variant Inventory Tracking: Use “shopify” to track inventory, or leave blank if not tracking.
  15. Variant Qty: Stock quantity.
  16. Variant Price: Price (without specifying the currency).
  17. Variant Compare At Price: The “compare at” price for sales comparison.
  18. Variant Requires Shipping: Enter 'TRUE' if shipping is needed, 'FALSE' for digital products. This is required.
  19. Variant Barcode: Product barcode, ISBN, or UPC.
  20. Charge Taxes: Enter 'TRUE' if taxable, 'FALSE' if not. This is required.
  21. Collection: The collection name you wish to add the product to. Only one collection per product.
  22. Custom Fields: Fill these if required. For dropdowns, only use listed options.
  23. Handling Charges: Enter any seller handling charges.
  24. Width, Height, Length, Girth: Dimensions required for certain shipping methods.
  25. HSN: Product's HSN code. Not Required.
  26. CGST(%), SGST(%), GST(%): Applicable Indian tax rates. Not Required.
  27. Tax Type: Specify the tax type (e.g., GST, Federal Tax). Not Required.
  28. Inventory Policy: Use 'continue' to keep selling when out of stock, or 'deny' to stop.

Special Notes:

  • For products with variants, fill all fields for the main product first. On the next lines, add the unique ID and details for each variant.
  • If your product is not uploading, ensure you are using one of Sarap Now's approved product types.
  • Minimum Purchase Quantity: Set the smallest quantity a customer can buy. Not required.
  • Slot Pricing: Use this if your product has variable pricing. Requires JSON format.
  • Fulfillment By: Choose who manages order fulfillment – 'seller' or 'admin'. This is mandatory with Stock Management.
  • Send Quantity To Merchant: Specifies when the seller sends products to the admin in case of Admin Fulfillment. Choose 'after delivery' or 'before delivery'. Leave blank for Seller Fulfillment.

Remember, the way you fill out this CSV will directly affect how your products are listed and managed in the store.
